Q-tip and cotton ball skeleton

This spooky skeleton is the perfect decoration for your house this Halloween. The kids will love getting to create their very own skeleton. This skeleton is made out of q-tips and cotton balls two things you probably have lying around at home. You are going to want to do this easy Halloween arts and craft with your kids or grandkids!

WITH THIS PROJECT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN…

  • What a skeleton is
  • What q-tips and cotton balls are
  • How to use glue
  • How to apply glitter

SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED:

  • Black construction paper
  • Glitter
  • Cotton ball
  • Q-tips (approximately 21)
  • Glue
  • Black Paint

The first thing you want to do is assemble your Q-tip skeleton on the black paper as shown below. Then, glue it onto the black construction paper. Glue the cotton ball head onto the paper as well.

Remember kids are always going to do things outside of the box. So their skeleton might not look perfect but that’s ok. As long as they are having fun and are proud of the skeleton they have created.

Now it is time to give your skeleton a face! Using black paint, paint the cotton ball (or head) of your skeleton two eyes and a mouth.

Next, paint a frame around your skeleton along the edges of the paper, using glitter paint, or brush on glue and sprinkle on loose glitter. Let dry.

You are now finished and ready to hang your skeleton friend to welcome guests this Halloween!
