Here is momma bunny and her two babies. “Shhh. Baby sister bunny is sleeping.” This adorable bunny family is made from recycled cardboard boxes like pudding boxes, soap boxes, and pasta boxes. You can make a whole family to represent your family members! Add pink bows to the top for girls and neckties for boys.

YOU WILL LOVE MAKING THIS ADORABLE BUNNY BOX FAMILY WITH YOUR GRANDKIDS FOR EASTER! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

  • empty boxes
  • white and pink construction paper or white paint (child-safe, non toxic)
  • googly eyes
  • white pipe cleaners
  • ribbon for bows and bowtie
  • basic arts and crafts supplies

Bunny Box Family – Step 1

First before you begin to paint, tape down all the box top and flaps so they stay nice and flat.

Bunny Box Family – Step 2

Paint the boxes white or cream. You will most likely need two coats of paint. Once the first coat has been dry for at least two hours, paint a second coat if need be.

Bunny Box Family – Step 3

Then cut bunny ears from white card stock or construction paper. Then cut pink shapes for the inside of the bunny ears. Glue the pink inside ear onto the white ears.

Bunny Box Family – Step 4

Next glue the bunny ears onto the back top of the box.

Bunny Box Family – Step 5

Cut a nose shape from pink paper. Glue on googly eyes, white whiskers from pipe cleaners, and the pink nose.

Bunny Box Family – Step 6

Now glue on a cotton ball on the back of each of the bunnies!

Bunny Box Family – Step 7

With a black marker give the bunnies a line for their mouth, and eyebrows and eye lashes. If you want to make the smallest bunny look asleep, give it “U” shaped eyes.

Bunny Box Family – Step 8

Last, give each of the bunnies a bow. Give the girl bunnies a bow on top of their head, and place the boy bunnies bow at their neck for a neck-tie. Place the bunny family together on a cake plate with green Easter grass, jelly beans, and colorful eggs for a cute Easter center-piece decoration. If you want bigger bunnies, use bigger boxes like, cereal and pasta boxes, and even shoe boxes.

Your adorable bunny box family is now finished!
