I LOVED MAKING THIS EGG CARTON CROSS WITH MY GRANDKIDS AND YOU WILL TOO! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

  • cardboard
  • egg carton cups
  • green jems
  • pink paint
  • basic crafting supplies

Egg Carton Cross – Step 1

Start by cutting out six individual egg carton cups. After that you are going to cut four triangles into each egg cup as shown above.

Egg Carton Cross – Step 2

Next you are going to cut tiny triangles in-between your previous ones. You should now have all of your egg cartons looking like the one in the photo above.

Egg Carton Cross – Step 3

Then on a piece of cardboard you are going to place all of your egg cartons so that they make a cross shape on top of it. Use a pencil to trace around the egg cartons and then cut out the cross from the piece of cardboard.

Egg Carton Cross – Step 4

Now you are going to paint around the rim of each egg carton in pink paint.

Egg Carton Cross – Step 5

Tape or glue a green jem in the middle of each egg carton.

Egg Carton Cross – Step 6

Finally tape or glue all of your egg cartons onto your cardboard cross that you cut out earlier.
