THIS FABRIC SCRAPS HANGING HEART WILL LOOK ABSOLUTELY DARLING HANGING UP IN YOUR HOUSE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

  • scraps of pink, red, and white fabric
  • pieces of ribbon
  • pipe cleaner
  • basic arts and crafts supplies
Gathering scraps of fabric

Start by ripping or cutting strips of fabric and ribbon about 10″ long.

Making over with red pipe cleaner

Next twist the ends of the pipe cleaner together. Bend the top to form a heart.

Making a heart out of red pipe cleaner

Now knot each piece of ribbon and strip of fabric onto the pipe cleaner. To do so first fold ribbon or fabric strip in half. Place the strip under the heart with the loop end as shown in the photo above.

Wrap the ribbon onto the heart

Then take the separate ends of the ribbon and put over top of the pipe cleaner and then through the loop as shown.

Using ribbon to attach to heart for hanging

After making the loop, pull the ends tight to form a knot.

tie the fabric onto the heart

You are now going to continue to add strips onto the heart.

Trimming scrap fabric

Finally when you are finished adding on strips trim the edges where necessary.
