How To Make A Pretty Heart Mobile From A Paper Plate

This simple Valentine’s Day craft made from a paper plate makes a beautiful Valentine’s day decoration that kids will have fun making. It will look beautiful wherever it is put and will bring some hearts into your life. You can even turn it into a adorable mobile for a nursery.

YOU WILL LOVE DECORATE YOUR HOME WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES MAKING THIS HEART MOBILE! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

  • paper plate
  • red and pink construction paper
  • pipe cleaner
  • thread
  • red paint
  • basic arts and crafts supplies

Paper Heart Mobile – Step 1

Start by cutting out a spiral from your paper plate.

Now pull apart the spiral it should look like the photo above.

Then paint the top of the paper plate red and let it dry.

While the paint is drying, cut out heart shapes from the red and pink construction paper. You can draw or stencil them on how you like, then cut them out. Cut thread into different, one piece for each paper heart. Tape the stings to the hearts.

Next wrap one end of the paper plate spiral with a pipe cleaner, leaving enough pipe cleaner to use to hang your mobile. To finish, tape the hearts hanging at different lengths to the bottom of the plate spiral.

Now your beautiful Valentine paper plate mobile is ready to hang up!
