IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF AN ADORABLE INEXPENSIVE HOMEMADE MOTHER’S DAY GIFT THIS EGG CARTON BOUQUET IS PERFECT! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

  • empty egg carton
  • toilet paper roll
  • pink and blue paint (child-safe, non toxic)
  • green pipe cleaners
  • yellow pompoms
  • basic arts & crafts supplies

Egg Carton Bouquet – Step 1

First you want to cut out 3 cups from an empty egg carton. Trim them so they have four rounded petals as shown.

Next paint the egg cups pink inside and out. After that paint the toilet paper roll blue. Let all the painted pieces dry.

Egg Carton Bouquet – Step 3

Cut about 1/4 of the pipe cleaner off the bottom of each pipe cleaner, the excess you cut off is for the leaves. Poke a hole in the bottom center of each egg cup. Put the longer pieces of the pipe cleaners through the holes and bend inside so they stay in place.

Now glue a yellow pompom into the center inside each egg cup flower, over the pipe cleaner.

Egg Carton Bouquet – Step 5

Use the short pieces of pipe cleaner to make the leaves. Wrap them around the pipe cleaner stems, shape them into a leaf, and twist the ends closed.

Finally place the flowers in the toilet paper roll vase. Tape the stems to the inside of the toilet paper roll to hold them in place.

You now have a lovely vase of flowers perfect for Mother’s Day and it’s made out of egg cartons!
