I ADORED MAKING THIS PAINTED PUMPKIN WITH MY GRANDKIDS AND SO WILL YOU! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:
- orange, green, brown, and red paint
- white construction paper
- colorful construction paper for background
- acrylic chalk sticks
- basic arts and crafts supplies
Painted Pumpkin – Step 1
Start by painting a piece of white construction paper orange. Go ahead and add some red streaks in there if you would like. Then draw a pumpkin shape and some curves lines using an acrylic chalk sticks. Cut out your pumpkin shape.
Painted Pumpkin – Step 2
Next paint another piece of white construction paper green and add some brown paint streaks as well if you would like.
Painted Pumpkin – Step 3
Now you are going to take the same acrylic chalk stick and draw leaf shapes on the green painted paper. After that cut out your leaves from the paper.
Painted Pumpkin – Step 4
Finally glue your pumpkin to a colorful background paper and then glue some of your leaves to the top. Sign your young artists name and age on the side and you now have a beautiful painted pumpkin!
