Flowers made out of paper and sticks added to make a mobile

Create a beautiful mobile of flowers for the new addition to your family. You get to work with your other grandkids to create something special for their new cousin or sibling. It is also a great way to get ride of that loose branch that has been taking up space in your yard.

WITH THIS PROJECT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN…

  • All about flowers
  • How to glue things together
  • How to use scissors

THIS FLOWER MOBILE LOOKS ABSOLUTELY DARLING IN THE NURSERY. THIS IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

  • Branch
  • Buttons
  • Different patterned paper or fabric
  • String
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors

To begin you are going to make your flowers. Use your different fabric or paper and cut them out into circles. Make sure to layer them getting smaller as you get to the inside of the flower. Add some slits to the ends of each layer and glue a button to the center of your flower. To see what this looks like look at the pictures below.

Next you are going to use your string and tie the flowers to your branch. You want to tie that string through your flowers like a Christmas ornament. Make sure to even out your flowers on the branch. Add a string to hang up your mobile. I put mine on a hook that hung from my ceiling.

You now have a flower mobile perfect for your new addition!
