WITH THIS PROJECT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN…

  • What a bat is
  • What the color black is
  • How to paint
  • How to use glue
  • How to use scissors

SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED:

  • empty egg carton
  • black paint
  • googly eyes
  • glitter paint or loose glitter
  • ribbon, yarn, or string
  • scissors
  • glue or tape

To start making this Egg Carton Bat cut out three cups in a row from the egg carton, leaving them hooked together.

Next you are going to paint the egg cups black inside and out. Once the egg cups have dried glue on the googly eyes.

After that you are going to poke two small holes in the top of the center cup. Then Attach ribbon, yarn, or string to hang your bat.

Make cut outs on each side to shape the bat wings. Using the scraps cut out two little bat ears. Glitter the bat ears and bottom area of wings. Then, glue on the bat ears. Finally, paint on your white fangs for your bat. (We did little hearts.)
